7 days of unforgettable encounters

Meet at hotel and drive to Machame Gate (1,800m). Begin trek through lush rainforest. Arrive Machame Camp (3,000m). Trek: 11km, 5-7 hours.

Climb out of the forest into heath zone. Stunning views open up. Arrive Shira Plateau (3,850m). Trek: 5km, 4-6 hours.

Acclimatization day: climb high, sleep low. Reach Lava Tower (4,630m), descend to Barranco (3,960m). Trek: 10km, 6-7 hours.

Climb the famous Barranco Wall - hands required but not technical. Continue to Karanga (4,035m). Trek: 5km, 4-5 hours.

Cross rocky terrain to base camp. Rest and prepare for summit. Barafu Camp (4,640m). Trek: 4km, 3-4 hours.

Midnight start. Climb through the night to Stella Point, then Uhuru Peak (5,895m) for sunrise. Descend to Mweka Camp. Trek: 17km, 12-14 hours.

Final descent through rainforest. Certificate ceremony at the gate. Transfer to Moshi. Trek: 10km, 3-4 hours.
