The Lemosho Route is considered the most beautiful and successful route on Kilimanjaro. Starting from the west, you'll traverse pristine Lemosho Glades and circle the mountain for 360-degree views. Eight days provide the best acclimatization.
8 days of unforgettable encounters

Drive to Londorossi Gate (2,100m). Trek through pristine rainforest to Big Tree Camp (2,895m). Trek: 6km, 3-4 hours.

Continue through forest emerging onto Shira Plateau. Magnificent views. Shira 1 Camp (3,500m). Trek: 8km, 5-6 hours.

Cross the Shira Plateau with views of Kibo. Optional hike to Shira Cathedral. Shira 2 Camp (3,850m). Trek: 8km, 4-5 hours.

Acclimatization day. Climb to Lava Tower (4,630m), descend to Barranco (3,960m). Trek: 10km, 6-7 hours.

Scale the Barranco Wall. Continue through the Karanga Valley to camp (4,035m). Trek: 5km, 4-5 hours.

Short trek to high camp. Rest and prepare for summit night. Barafu (4,640m). Trek: 4km, 3-4 hours.

Midnight departure. Summit Uhuru Peak (5,895m) at sunrise. Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m). Trek: 17km, 12-14 hours.

Descend through rainforest. Certificate ceremony. Transfer to Moshi. Trek: 10km, 3-4 hours.
