Africa's Ultimate Wilderness
Katavi National Park is one of Africa's most remote and wildest parks. During the dry season, the Katuma River and seasonal lakes shrink, concentrating extraordinary numbers of hippos, crocodiles, and buffalo in dramatic spectacles.
The park sees very few visitors, offering a true wilderness experience. Walking safaris here are exceptional, and the night skies are some of the clearest in Tanzania. This is Africa as it was centuries ago.
Katavi National Park offers remarkable wildlife viewing year-round, but each season brings its own unique spectacle. The dry season concentrates animals around water sources, while the wet season brings lush landscapes and newborn animals.
