About This Experience
Scale Ol Doinyo Lengai (2,962m), the world's only active carbonatite volcano and sacred mountain of the Maasai people. This challenging overnight trek begins at midnight, climbing steep volcanic slopes under starlight to reach the summit for a spectacular sunrise.
The unique carbonite lava glows orange at night and appears black by day. The summit crater features active vents and bizarre lava formations unlike anywhere else on Earth. This is a bucket-list adventure for volcano enthusiasts.
